Her "Golden" Birthday.

My baby girl is 8! Every year I'm shock. I just can't believe she is getting so old. Why is it her golden birthday you ask? Well, when talking to my mom one day, she mentioned... "It is her golden birthday birthday, after all". Confused, I asked what she meant. She explained that it is the year your age matches your birthday. I guess I don't remember mine because I was 2! :)

I took her out to take a few pictures. She can be sooo hard to photograph! She is such a natural beauty, but she can be a bit awkward when it comes to placing her body... or even trying to relax and act natural. I enjoyed every minute of though!... and great practice for those "hard to pose" kids.

The next picture is what about 90% of her pictures look like. If I move her hand she puts it back, if I move her chin she does it then puts it back. And she's usually concentrating so hard (not to move... even though she still ends up doing it) that she will have scrunched up facial expressions. Forget telling her to act natural... if you tell her that, she will get even more nervous and shrug her shoulders and tuck her chin under. This picture is an example of when she was doing such a good job holding a pose (except she kept putting her hand back from where I would ask her to put it)... but she was concentrating soo hard that she couldn't give me a smile.. or a natural face.. or anything other than this!! :)
